Grants to buy a bike or safety equipment
Have you thought about biking in to uni? The Université wants to encourage you to do just that, as it happens. At the beginning of every academic year, it offers a grant to help students buy a bike or safety gear (helmet, reflective jacket, etc.). All you need is proof of purchase with your name on it. But hurry, there's a limited amount of funding available.

In Saint-Étienne, we want to encourage you to cycle. Logical - you're in the cradle and the historic capital of the French cycle industry here! So your bike's broken and you don't know how to fix it? The Ocivélo association doesn't just offer a whole range of second-hand bikes at reasonable prices and in perfect condition. It also teaches you the basics of bike maintenance: how to adjust a derailleur and change an inner tube! You'll see, it's not rocket science!
