Pay less when you use the train - the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional authority offers two railcards for students with different profiles.
If you are under 26, with the "illico liberté jeunes" you can get 50% off all train fares, whether you're travelling during the week or at the weekend. The card is available from the SNCF shop and costs €15, which you'll soon recover if you take the train regularly. Get yours now!

If you are on an assisted work-training contract (insertion, apprenticeship or professionnalisation), the best card for you is the "illico solidaire" card. With it the savings are even bigger: 75% off all train fares. The card is free and valid for 1 year. It is also available to young people registered with the employment department's youth service, the Missions locales, and who are not in full-time education or training.
